Stylish and Sleek: Jesse and James's Modern Farmhouse Wedding

Jesse and James’s effortless and elevated style was translated through their wedding decor by using a gorgeous combination of chic modern design and a classic black and white color palette. The couple’s beautiful love was shown throughout this incredibly stunning celebration made of meaningful family moments, tears of joy, laughter and countless emotions.

The wedding was comprised of custom designs and carefully considered details. Planner and designer Lisa Lyons’s aesthetic and ability to translate her client’s individual style and bring a unique vision that represents the client’s personality to fruition shows her exceptional talent and skill. A focal point of the wedding was the display of our custom built structure created by Art Faulkner. Art’s craftsmanship and understanding of logistics allow him to build Fairbanks Florist’s exclusive custom structures where Lana can showcase her creativity through her remarkable florals and designs. Do Tell Calligraphy staged a beautiful luxe photo back drop that created a big statement and impressed guests. We are so grateful for the creativity and collaboration between all of the talented vendors that resulted in this seamless and extraordinary day.

While wedding trends are always changing, there’s something so classic about a black and white color scheme for a wedding - both timeless and elegant.

The outdoor ceremony at The Mulberry was staged with our custom built structure, adorned with vibrate white florals and greenery to create a back drop defined by contemporary style. The minimalistic design incorporated geometric form by using sleek, clean lines paired with texturized florals.

The farmhouse reception space complimented the black and white accents creating a sophisticated and luxurious feel.

The ceremony structure was repurposed behind the Sweetheart Table for a dramatic statement. Guest tables had various designs incorporating low, slender floral centerpieces, a mixture of small bud vase arrangements, and an abundance of glass candle decor in eclectic styles and heights for the perfect final touch of romance. Every aspect of the tablescape was embellished with captivating elements resulting in a seamless design.

Floral arrangements were made using all white flowers including tulips, ranunculus, anemones with black centers, snapdragons, stock, roses, and hydrangea. The eclectic mix of candles consisted of glass votives, stemmed glass candleholders with water and floating candles, and an assortment of crystal candlesticks with black taper candles placed in hurricane cylinders.

Mr. & Mrs. Evans Ever After - January 25, 2020

Colleen and Hayden’s wedding was a stunning affair - overflowing with love, joy and tight knit family bonds. I had the pleasure of working alongside Michele Butler Events which is ALWAYS a pleasure! Michele is a preferred vendor of Fairbanks Florist and is highly recommended for her impeccable work and attention to detail.

The ceremony took place at the GORGEOUS St. James Catholic Church in Orlando, FL. The reception followed at the equally spectacular Country Club of Orlando.

Colleen’s bouquet was an immaculate combination of white ranunculus, burgundy dahlia, burgundy Paris Roses, dusty miller, white majolica spray roses, seeded eucalyptus and salal. The arrangement provided enough of a variety for a stunning visual effect, without appearing too busy.

The bridesmaid bouquets perfectly complemented Colleen’s - composed of white ranunculus, white majolica spray roses, white Mondial roses, seeded eucalyptus and salal. I just love how the white and green contrasted beautifully against their burgundy gowns.

I assisted Colleen and her mother Kathleen in choosing many of the design elements such as the blush velvet linens for the bridal party table and the chargers. Colleen loves the ambiance of candlelight; so we adorned all of the tables with modern glass candle holders from my extensive collection.

A family member created this incredible metal monogram initial “E” for the couple. I affixed the monogram to a hedge wall which I then embellished with flowers, creating a dramatic focal point right behind Colleen & Hayden at the bridal party table.

Three different table centerpiece designs created visual interest for guests, two low and one tall arrangement made up of antique and white hydrangeas, belles of Ireland and white stock for dramatic height.

Every detail from the floral arrangements to the chargers were perfectly paired to create the elegant and breathtaking atmosphere the couple dreamed of.

Dinner, drinks and dancing capped off this classy celebration. The bride’s mother and father beamed with pride the entire night.

Perhaps my favorite part of the evening was the couple’s exit in this fun vintage Cadillac!

Sealing the celebration with a kiss, the gorgeous bride and handsome groom were chauffeured off into the night.

Modern Vogue: Falon and Paul’s Ritz-Carlton Wedding

Whilst some couples may choose light and airy romantic design schemes for their weddings, Falon and Paul and their wedding planner, Lisa Stoner of Lisa Stoner Events, came to Lana with a vision of grandeur that was dark and moody with an air of mystique.  

It was a concept Lana was zealous to undertake. And the results?  

Simply divine.

Working closely with Falon and Lisa, Lana was intrigued by the chic, modern club vibe.  The ceremony and reception, held indoors at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, were to be transformed into an environment that was rich with a black palette accented with white flowers and lush greenery.

After their brainstorm sessions, Lana went to work designing the floral scheme.  Falon’s bouquet consisted of white long stem, open garden roses hand tied with a silk ribbon while Paul chose a clean look with no boutonniere.

For the ceremony, inside a section of The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom, Lana perched four stunningly ornate floral pieces at the back of the altar while low greenery, candles, and accents of delicate white blooms graced the sides of the aisle.  The glass containers and clear pedestals in front of a luxurious gray wall of fabric gave a sleek look to the formal room.

As guests retreated to the Tuscany Ballroom for the evening’s celebration, they were greeted by a swanky setting that looked like a scene out of a movie.  The ballroom was divided into sections by white light drapes and 3x3 oversized gray planter boxes (constructed by Lana’s husband Art) bursting with floral beneath the lights, creating intimate gathering spaces throughout the room.

Sections for dinner sparkled with candles amongst a variety of modern floral centerpieces of anenomies, tulips, bleached ruscus, smilax, classic spray roses, and elaeagnus branches in creative vases placed on tables drenched in soft black.  

Additional focal points included dark colored bars with gold accents situated near deep emerald couches for conversation as well as the wedding cake near the piano (setting just the right musical mood!).

In addition to the posh floral and lighting, a life-size “Vogue” magazine cover was turned into a photo booth box where the bride, groom, and guests posed throughout the evening for their very own cover photo shoot.  And while this was a fabulous experience for guests, they loved the confetti cannons on the specially designed vinyl dance floor at the end of the night just as much!

Falon and Paul’s wedding, which was lavish and luxurious from top to bottom, was quite a delight for Lana to be a part of.  From unique set-ups to trendy vases to alluring surprises, it was truly a night to remember.
