Alfond Inn Couture Garden Wedding

Couture Garden Alfond Inn Wedding - Winter Park, FL - October 3, 2020

Featuring Taylor Callahan & Jake Tellier

Taylor and Jake’s Alfond Inn wedding was equal parts sophisticated and stylish. This lovely couple chose to include their fur baby Allie in their ceremony, making the Alfond Inn the perfect venue choice, as it is dog friendly. We had a wonderful time helping bring Taylor’s exquisite floral vision to life!

Excitement and joy filled the air and the soon-to-be newlyweds readied for their big day. The bride’s parents were absolutely beaming with pride as they posed for photos with their beautiful daughter.

The couple shared a darling first look in the garden before the ceremony. Taylor carried an unstructured couture garden bouquet made up of peonies, roses, veronica and ranunculus mixed with soft and vining foliage. The bouquet paired marvelously with her intricate lace sweetheart style gown.

Of course, we couldn’t forget to doll up this sweet fur baby. Lana custom designed a floral embellishment for Taylor and Jake’s dog Allie that perfectly matched Taylor’s bridal bouquet.

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, and Taylor and Jake were blessed indeed! When the rain moved in, we were able to bring a touch of the outdoors inside with our raised garden structure. Custom built by Art, and design inspired by Planner Lisa Stoner just for Taylor and Jake’s wedding, our elevated meadow structure allowed us to create a field of flowers. We used over 2,000 carnations for Taylor’s flower field which was utilized in both their ceremony & reception spaces.

The couple exchanged vows in the dazzling rotunda, as light poured in through the extensive windows and glass dome ceiling.

The reception space was absolutely breathtaking - incorporating a dazzling mixture of greenery, gold accents, custom drapery and extraordinary florals.

We placed our tall gold wall screen, custom designed by Art, behind the bar. Special family photos, greenery vines, candles, and spots of flowers added depth and warmth to the design, and allowing the couple to showcase important family memorabilia.

When many think of wedding florals, they think merely of bouquets and centerpieces. In reality there are dozens of ways to incorporate floral design to create a truly customized ambiance for your event. Large statement pieces can be a great design addition. Palm trees, among many other large plants, can be provided through a Fairbanks Florist vendor. We also repurposed the raised carnation beds at the reception for the perfect sweetheart table backdrop.

We adore monogramed and customized dance floor wraps, which can create personalized statements unique to your event. The newlyweds shared their first dance on a beautiful custom dance floor which read, “Life is only as good as they people you get to share it with.” The statement perfectly suited their intimate wedding, full of love and adoration for their friends, family and of course each other.

Classic Casa Feliz Celebration

Classic Casa Feliz Wedding Celebration - Winter Park, FL - November 7, 2020

Featuring Allie Harvard & Corbin Harris

Allie & Corbin’s November wedding was held at the magnificent Spanish style historic museum, Casa Feliz. “Casa Feliz'' translates to “Happy House,” and this couple’s wedding encompassed just that. Their whimsical wedding was filled with joy and love at every moment.

The bride’s gown was truly one of a kind! She found the dress in bright red at Bridal Gallery of Orlando. The dress was custom designed for her in white. It was so very “Allie” and for added personality: sparkly Kate Spade tennis shoes!

One of my favorite moments of the entire wedding was the precious first look shared by Allie & her father. This heartfelt reunion was full of laughter, tears, and an abundance of love.

So often when planning a wedding, big decision making is left to the bride. If the brides happy, the groom’s happy. With Allie and Corbin, the groom had 2 requests: first - a steak for dinner, and second - to cover the colored railing on the balcony. Lana made this request effortless by draping smilax - covering the railing while creating a beautiful ceremony backdrop.

You’ve heard the old adage - “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” While blue flowers are a unique wedding request, they just so happened to be the bride’s favorite color! We incorporated blue tones into the décor and achieved her floral style by adding light blue tweedia, dark navy centered anemones, and cool toned greenery. The outcome was both stunning and classy!

The floral chandelier was the show stopper of the reception. During the bride & groom portraits, the bride stopped everyone to admire it!

The beautiful couple was all smiles as the celebration continued well into the night. Guests enjoyed the traditional first dance, father/daughter dance, dinner, dancing, and of course - cake!

The love Allie & Corbin have for one another was so evident in all of their interactions. We know they will build their very own Casa Feliz (happy home) as newlyweds!

Pink & Blue The Country Club of Orlando Wedding

Pink & Blue The Country Club of Orlando Wedding - Winter Park, FL & Orlando, FL - January 18, 2020

Featuring Chanel Lauren & Timothy Strates Magid

Tim & Chanel’s wedding was every bit as vibrant and joyful as the couple themselves. I had the unique privilege of working alongside my dear friend Joanie Stoddard, owner of The Tiny Orchid Co., to design the stunning pink & white floral arrangements that adorned the wedding.

Highlighting Joanie’s Phalaenopsis orchids, we used gardenias, peonies, garden, classic and spray roses, hydrangeas and ivy to complete the floral décor. Joanie is Chanel’s Aunt and was by her side for the entire planning process. These two have the most darling relationship! It is always a joy when I get to work alongside friends.

The ceremony was held at the Knowles Memorial Chapel at Rollins College. The stunning chapel, rich in history, boasted towering cathedral ceilings and stunning ecclesiastical architecture. Chanel was a vision in white and beamed as she walked down the aisle escorted by her father.

The bridal party was outfitted in a lovely combination of robin’s egg blue and navy dress wear. The hot pink roses popped against the sea of blue.

Following the ceremony was the reception, which was held at The Country Club of Orlando. A sophisticated palette of navy, white, pink and gold dressed the reception hall tables. Stunning arrangements of draping Phalaenopsis orchids, hydrangea and ivy towered above tables, alternating with short gold vases bursting with orchids and pink roses.

Chanel and Tim capped off the night with dinner, dancing, and of course - cake! Guests packed the dance floor and the sounds of laughter filled the air.

A sparkler sendoff was a befitting exit for this radiant couple. The evening came to a close as Mr. & Mrs. Magid drove off into the night in a sleek black convertible.

Dreamy White & Blush Interlachen Country Club Wedding

White & Blush Interlachen Country Club Wedding - Winter Park, FL - August 8, 2020

Featuring Jamie Corey & Kristian Lloret

Wedding Details.jpeg

Jamie and Kristian’s wedding day was full of the sweetest emotions and the dreamiest decor! We loved how excited their family and friends were for them. And we were honored to be part of their day at Interlachen Country Club!

Bride with Mother on Wedding Day.jpeg

Mother of Bride before ceremony.jpeg

I had the lovely pleasure of really getting to know Jamie and her Mother Loretta because we were in wedding planning phase for over a year and half due to THREE Covid postponements! Their relationship was one of the most loving and respectful I have ever witnessed. It was truly inspiring and I felt to lucky to be a part of their very special day.

Jamie’s bridal bouquet was a classic shape with white ranunculus and garden roses and blush peonies and her stems were wrapped in lace from Loretta’s dress. The beautiful bridesmaids held similar smaller bouquets with the added touch of baby’s breath.

Close Up of Bridesmaids.jpeg

An outdoor tented ceremony provided the perfect setting for exchanging vows. The white drapery, the baby’s breath along the chairs, the petals lining the stage, and the stunning floral chandelier all came together beautifully. We love how The Richards Photo + Cinema captured the regal beauty of Jamie and Kristian’s special day.

Everyone moved inside for the reception where dreamy elegance was on display once again. The white linens with silver mercury glass candleholders and beautiful flower arrangements on the tables, the white lights sweeping across the ballroom ceiling, flowers dripping from the chandeliers, full ballroom draping and uplighting, all came together to create a beautiful canvas for the reception. The entry hedgewall served two purposes, first as a photo wall and second (on the opposite side) as a seating chart during the cocktail hour in the lounge. They danced the night away to the fabulous sounds of Cynergy!

After waiting so long to be married, Jamie and Kristian’s wedding day was a real dream come true. Our hope is that their special day will help to bring wedding inspiration to many!

Bella Collina White Wedding Under the Stars

Bella Collina Outdoor White Wedding - Monteverde, FL - October 2, 2020

Featuring Elisa Gentile & Thomas Altini

Every detail of Thomas and Elisa’s wedding day was dripping with elegance and sophistication. Held at the beautiful Bella Collina in Monteverde Florida, this venue feels like you’ve taken a step back in time to old world Tuscany without ever leaving Central Florida.

The outdoor ceremony was dressed in a classic palette of whites and creams. From the stunning rose & hydrangea arch to the sleek cream colored bridesmaid gowns, guests were “wowed” by a ceremony fit for a Hollywood couple.

Elisa & Thomas’ love for one another was so evident as they posed for photos following the ceremony. The couple radiated pure joy as they smiled for the camera and shared quiet moments away from their guests.

Just when you thought the elegance of the ceremony couldn’t be outdone, next came the INCREDIBLE outdoor reception! A unique circular table arrangement centered around an absolutely spectacular chandelier hanging suspended above the dance floor. Twinkle lights streamed out from the chandelier above guests and created an ambiance of warmth and romance as the sun set.

The tablescapes at this reception were absolutely spectacular. Overflowing arrangements of white hydrangea and blush colored roses lined the curved tables. Meanwhile, a mixture of votive, pillar and taper candles twinkled under the night sky.

Elisa, Thomas and their guests enjoyed a picture perfect evening of dining and dancing by moonlight. A sparkler sendoff capped off the evening to celebrate the newlyweds - Mr. & Mrs. Altini.

Intimate Alfond Inn Wedding

Intimate Alfond Inn Wedding - Winter Park, FL - 8/15/20

Featuring Ashley Duz and Lewis Naylor

Ashley & Lewis exchanged vows before an intimate gathering of their friends and family at the beautiful Alfond Inn in Winter Park, FL. A sophisticated palette of blush and white set the scene for an elegant and romantic celebration. Bride Ashley was positively glowing in a brilliant satin and lace gown with a matching chapel length lace veil.

The ceremony was held in the conservatory of the Alfond Inn. Pedestals of overflowing blush and white floral arrangements paired beautifully with the floating candles and white rose petals that flanked the aisle. A heartfelt exchange of vows before their closest friends and family was sealed with a sweet kiss!

The reception space was simply stunning! The tables were styled with a mixture of high and low rose and hydrangea centerpieces. Towering above guests were stunning arrangements in glass vases with greenery cascading down. An assortment of beautiful candles created an ambiance of warmth and whimsy.

Alfond Inn Central Florida Intimate Wedding 39.jpg

The evening concluded with toasting, dinner, dancing, and cake. Every element of their beautiful celebration was thoughtfully curated and perfectly executed. Lewis & Ashley’s intimate wedding is a wonderful reminder that a small wedding does not mean you have to sacrifice on style or sophistication.

Shaila + Sebastian's Multicultural Wedding Weekend

Shaila & Sebastian's multicultural wedding was truly stunning in every way. This two day soiree was full of joy, love and a merging of traditions. This wonderful couple met working in Chicago, although as fate would have it they both grew up in Florida and attended the same college! Their relationship has taken them all across the globe, from Bali to Indonesia, where Sebastian proposed on a mountaintop at sunset. Shaila and Sebastian celebrated their nuptials with a 2-day soiree with a traditional Western wedding on Friday at the Historic Casa Feliz on the Winter Park Golf Course followed by a bright and colorful Hindu party the next night at the Historic Winter Park Farmer’s Market.

The bridesmaids prepped for the day ahead in their suite at the Alfond Inn. Meanwhile, the groomsmen enjoyed a leisurely start to their day, with brunch at The Alfond Inn’s Hamilton’s Kitchen.

EP-RIVERA-0089.jpg

A traditional American wedding and reception was held at Casa Feliz. Donned in a stunning white gown and carrying an understated baby’s breath bouquet, Shaila’s look was classic and elegant in every way. The couple enjoyed a “first look” together on Friday at the Alfond Inn. We love the hint of Indian Culture peeking through the celebration with Shaila’s beautifully intricate Henna Tattoos.

Cocktail hour followed the couple’s exchange of vows, nestled beneath the Spanish moss in historic downtown Winter Park.

EP-RIVERA-1766 (1).jpg

During the outdoor reception, all eyes were on the hanging floral chandelier with globe candle holders. The classic white and green florals allowed the rustic elements of the venue to shine through. The pairing of all white linens with dark wood chairs created a sophisticated style with old world charm.

EP-RIVERA-1253 (1).jpg

The couple spent the evening surrounded by friends and family. They ate, drank, and danced the night away to the live music of the Bay Kings Band.

The next day continued the marriage celebration with traditional indian outfits and rituals!

The second night of celebration was a colorful and lively affair at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market! The bold reds and golds were a stark contrast to the classic white color palette of the previous evening. The night was all about fun and merriment, beginning with a dramatic entrance by the couple, as they danced their way up the stairs to the venue.

Everyone, including the guests were clad in celebratory Indian attire. Traditional music, dancing and food created an absolute delight for the senses. This incredible wedding weekend was a beautiful celebration of unity, family, and culture.

Words from Noelle Moore - Founder of The Finley Project

“Each year one of the key components of the Gala is the “WALL OF REMEMBRANCE”, honoring the Mother’s and children of the Finley Project Program. Although hundreds of little ones are represented here, there are thousands more that need The Finley’s Projects help. For the past 6 years, supporters gathered together at the Gala to support The Finley Project. The Finley Project was born out of critical need for maternal support following the loss of an infant child, which Noelle Moore discovered firsthand after the tragic loss of her daughter Finley in 2013. The Finley Project also helps to educate civic groups and hospitals, spreading awareness and changing protocols for safety and patient care.

I want you all to take a moment to think about a mother. A mother who had a child in her belly or in her arms, or one that was playing with her 15 month old in the grass... THEN within the blink of eye, that mother is no longer carrying that child, playing with that child or fulfilling that purpose of being that child's mom. Her HOPE during this time was ripped out.

Isolation for grieving mothers has significant impacts. It does for those just struggling day-to-day, looking for normalcy during pandemic times, but grieving mothers suffer greatly. They have been stuck in homes, unable to get out and connect, see the world, distract their minds even with momentary "normal" things.

Nothing is normal for mothers right now, but now amplify that for a grieving mother where the emotion of grief is new and the human body feels almost incapable of processing the pain.

That is where we step in! The Finley Project was built for this.

Since inception, we built our program for scalability and for use anywhere in the nation. We have built relationships with hospitals across the country and use a streamline online application process. We have developed online resources such as our private Facebook support page along with Support Volunteers who talk/text with their mothers weekly. We use counselors all over the country who have pivoted their practices to see our mothers virtually. We have created virtual monthly support groups and encouraged mothers to join virtual groups within their areas. We have provided grocery gift cards when jobs were lost and income was down. We have been ready for this.

We are hearing it over and over from the mothers who have lost an infant during this PANDEMIC, that if they didn't have The Finley Project, they don't know where they would be.

You all - THEY MEAN IT!

Thank you for those who have believed in the work we are doing! From the bottom of our hearts, "THANK YOU!" Thank you for helping mothers LITERALLY survive the worst time of their lives by giving your time, talent and treasure. If it wasn't for you, we believe many of our mothers wouldn't be here today.

Thank you for helping save a life!” - Noelle Moore, CNPM

About The Finley Project & Celebration of Life

Each year Art and I offer our support by photographing and providing the floral decor for this fundraising event, aptly named the “Celebration of Life Gala”. Each year we see all the photos of the Finley Project Children and are grateful to be a part of this incredibly valuable project that honors the lives of these precious children and continues to work hard to support these Mothers. As such I am compelled, this year more than ever, to help raise awareness for this cause and for the women who so desperately need the healing that The Finley Project offers.

This year, in lieu of an in person celebration, the 7th annual Celebration of Life gala is being hosted virtually on October 16th at 6:30 pm from the safety of your homes! Every dollar raised during the Gala, will be MATCHED UP TO $20,000!
